a letter to my younger self
I want to start this with a thank you. Thank you for not giving up on people, for having hope, for believing in magic, for believing in people even if they proved you wrong, for speaking your mind no matter how hard it was. But mostly, thank you for believing in yourself, for never giving up.
All your experiences, no matter how bad or good, made me the person I am today and there might be an even better version of you in the future, but right now, I am the best version of you. The version that is not scared for standing up for herself, the version that is not scared to take a risk, the version that took all your weaknesses and turned it into strength, the version that firmly believes that you, my love, are very strong and you can take on the world if you have to.
Yes, you might be hurt right now but always you are also loved. loved by the amazing people around you, people who accept every flaw you think you have, every mistake you ever made, people you call your family. Stop taking them for granted.
I could tell you all about the things i wish we did differently, but honestly, we both know you did what you thought was right at the moment and even if it was a mistake it ended up making you stronger. The lessons you learnt are my biggest strength and i would never change a single thing.
So thank you. Thank you for all the love and lessons, we made it.
p.s. spend more time with your grandparents and love yourself a little more, you deserve it.
